Columbus Crew's 'key' Trapp honoured to receive high praise from NYRB ace Henry

Wil Trapp has admitted to getting 'goosebumps' after being the subject of positive praise from Thierry Henry.

The former Arsenal star saw firsthand the influence the 21-year old midfielder when Columbus Crew defeated Henry's New York Red Bulls 3-1 at Red Bull Arena on the weekend.

After the match, Henry said that Trapp was the Crew's key and his words have clearly had an effect on Ohio-born youngster who holds the French great as one of his boyhood idols.

"It's a great honor to hear that from one of the greatest players to ever play the game," he said.

"To single me out for a game I played, it's pretty awesome. Obviously, it makes you feel good. But so many guys played well; everyone played well. It's not even fair to single out one player."

Trapp added: "You get goosebumps. To hear one of your role models and idols growing up say that about you is fantastic."
