Akron Zips young gun Wil Trapp is considering an offer from Columbus Crew says his mother.
The Gahanna starlet, who eventually wants to head to Europe, is looking to end his university playing days by taking up a MLS contract with the Crew according to Liz Trapp.
"It's all very preliminary right now aside from the very solid contract the Crew has offered him," she told the Columbus Dispatch. "We're excited about it.
"As a young man, he would love to play in Europe because of the opportunities. That's a dream, but I don't know where the fit is going to be. As a parent, I would love to have him here in town."
Trapp is a two-time Crew Academy player of the year and has been a two-time first-team all-Mid American Conference selection at Akron as a defensive midfielder.
