Sydney FC midfielder Simon Colosimo could become a Chunnam Dragons player within days. The 30-year old is reportedly leaving for South Korea today and his agent confirmed there was interest from the K-League club.
"There has been interest from Chunnam Dragons, though we're a long way off a finalised deal," Leo Karis told 442.
Karis said that interest shown in Australian players from Asian clubs could be a good earner for those prepared to make the trek to foreign countries.
"I've been surprised with the amount of interest in Australian players. Obviously in leagues like the K-League, earnings potential is much greater," he added.
"And I think the like of Jade [North] and Sasa [Ognenovski] will do very well.
"For players earning say $7-800,000 a year in the K-League or J-League, or even more, it would be a significant adjustment to the salary cap here.
"Anyway, you won't be able to stop these sorts of players going overseas."
