Melbourne Heart captain Simon Colosimo is extremely positive on the eve of the clubs A-League debut.
Today, the Heart skipper spoke to media about tomorrow night's season opening clash with the Central Coast Mariners and was looking for a positive result straight away.
"From a players point of view, it's great to go out there and be entertaining and that's what we are going to try and do but you've got to find the right balance and get results too," he said.
"Finding that balance, we are slowly, slowly getting there and I think tomorrow night will be close to where we want to be but there are still a couple of little things (to improve)."
The Heart have recruited very well in their first pre-season and have out together a very strong list with plenty of A-League experience but it is the relative unknowns like Dutch midfielder Rutger Worm and Brazilian striker Alex Terra which may create problems for the opposition this season.
"Rutger's got some fast feet on him. He's quite exciting, he's hungry, he works very, very hard for a guy whose gut such silky skills going forward," Colosimo said of the former NEC Nijmegen winger.
"He's a very, very hard worker so you will see a bit of everything from him. He's a good crosser of the ball, good dribbler.
"Alex is sort of a box player. Very technical, very sharp. Both those boys have been great. Rutger speaks English so it is a lot easier for him to get to know the boy. The culture is not so different (to Holland's) and he's got (fellow Dutchman) Gerald (Sibon) here as well. With Alex, his English isn't too good but we've seen improvements in three weeks in his understanding of what we want from him and I'm sure that he's going to be fine."
And for tomorrow night's opponents, Colosimo expected them to be slightly different to what he has played against in the past.
"They have signed a couple of very good boys. Our coaching staff have seen them twice. (They have) a new coach Graham Arnold who brings a wealth of experience. He probably knows more about every other A-League player than anyone else," he added.
"They will be a lot different to what they have been. Lawrie (McKinna) was there and he did a great job with them for five years but now Arnie is there it's a little bit different."
