Colorado Rapids striker Omar Cummings is close to a loan deal with an English Premier League club.

Cummings' agent Patrick McCabe has revealed that there is a bit of interest around for the 28-year old, who netted 14 goals in the Rapids' 2010 MLS Cup triumph, and that he is indeed close to a short stint away from Colorado.

There is a "possibility of (Cummings) going to England", said McCabe.

"That (discussion) is very much in progress. A loan deal is being discussed with a Premiership team, a top-10 team."

Cummings has spent the last four seasons with the Rapids, scoring 30 goals in 94 MLS appearances.
