Colorado Rapids have completed the signing of goalkeeper Ian Joyce from English club Southend United.

The 24-year old New Jersey-native will be added to the senior playing list once his International Transfer Certificate clears.

Joyce kicked off his career with Conference National club Grays Athletic in 2007 before having stints with Harlow Town and Watford. He then moved to Southend in 2008.

He spent a brief trial stint with the Rapids in February before signing with the club.
