The Colorado Rapids announced today that the team has signed defender Michael Holody to a developmental contract. Per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. In additional roster moves, the club waived midfielder John DiRaimondo.
Holody was the Rapids final selection in this year's Major League Soccer SuperDraft when he was taken with the 59th overall pick in the fourth round out of the University of Michigan. He played in six matches with the Rapids this preseason after concluding his collegiate career as Michigan's all-time leader in minutes played with 6,498.
