The former Southampton keeper has joined Colorado Rapids after agreeing terms over a deal with MLS. Rapids coach Fernando Clavijo and his No2 John Murphy moved quickly for Sharpe after he became available following trials with LA Galaxy.

The Australian, who begins his MLS career after several years in Denmark with Viborg and Koge, is contracted to the League, with Rapids currently having rights on him.
