The Colorado Rapids have gained an important a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field in their last preseason game. This was a third consecutive win for Colorado and a third straight victory over an MLS club this preseason.

Conor Casey scored the game's only goal in the 38th minute off a penalty kick following a foul on Colin Clark in the box.

Colorado Rapids 2009 season opener is on March 21 against Chivas USA at The Home Depot Center, California.
