Colorado Rapids midfielder Wells Thompson wants to be traded.

Thompson is seeking playing action after a difficult season so far with the Rapids.

"Wells has expressed a desire to find first-team soccer, and based on all he has given our club and our community, we have been working with him to make this happen," Rapids spokesman David Lindholm said in a statement on Sunday. "While several teams are interested, nothing is official at this point and we'll make an announcement if and when anything changes."
