Colorado Rapids head coach Oscar Pareja says Edson Buddle is the striker the club has been waiting for.
The 31-year old former LA Galaxy and New York Red Bull forward scored his second goal of the season as the Rapids beat his former club Columbus Crew 2-0 in Ohio, delighting Pareja in the process.
"Edson is a player that we have been waiting for," Pareja said.
"When you have someone to put the ball in the back of the net, everything looks better.
"We took advantage of the opportunities we had. Everything just came [together] for us."
The Rapids now sit fourth on the Western Conference table having won their last two MLS outings in a row to make it three from their past five.
