Colombian football urges Arsenal, Chelsea target James to quit Real Madrid

James Rodriguez is being urged to QUIT Real Madrid by football sources from home in Colombia.

The midfielder has been put up for sale by Real on recommendation of coach Zinedine Zidane.

And while inside the locker room senior teammates have urged James to fight for his future at Real, it's claimed the opposite message is being relayed from Bogota.

Spanish pundit Tomás Roncero told El Chiringuito de Jugones: "Colombian journalists do not tell James to stay and fight.

"They tell him to leave and give up. They did not say this last season, instead claiming James could win the Ballon d'Or. James in the first year was a beast."

Colombian legend Carlos Valderrama captured the mood last season when stating: "Even if he (Rodriguez) scores three, four or five goals, Zidane won't put him on.

"James is a player he does not like. Carlo Ancelotti put him on and he played well, and then later with Benitez, but not with Zidane.

"So we do not understand what is happening with him."

James has been offered to Chelsea and Arsenal by his agent, Jorge Mendes, in recent days.
