Fabricio Coloccini is hoping to hear today that Newcastle United will allow him to return home to Argentina.

The Guardian says the personally troubled Coloccini hopes that a meeting between his representatives and Newcastle's board today will result in him being allowed to return to Argentina.

San Lorenzo are keen to sign the defender, but won't consider paying a transfer fee.
