Fabricio Coloccini is fully committed to the cause at Newcastle United.

The Evening Chronicle says Coloccini is committed to seeing out his current deal which ends in summer 2016.

The central defender is ruled out for the rest of the month but could be allowed to fly back to Argentina to see family as he recovers from a knee problem.

A source in Argentina close to Coloccini said: "Colo looks like he is in England to stay now and see out his contract with Newcastle until 2016. But he may come back to Argentina to recover from his knee injury."
