Collison ready to return for West Ham survival fight

Jack Collison says he's ready to return and help West Ham United's survival fight.

Bolton reserves will provide Collison with another step towards a return to the first team on Tuesday and he is biding his time while he waits for boss Avram Grant's call.

"I'm just looking to get my head down and try to play reserve games and I'm ready and looking to do my bit," he told the club's official website.

"I feel really good. I've only played a couple of reserve games but I've been training for a long while now with the team.

"It would be nice to have an opportunity between now and the end of the season to help the team out.

"My knee has been good. The medical department have been brilliant to me. It's been a real team effort and they've been working hard with me around the clock.

"They've got me back into good shape and I feel good and I'm ready to go."
