Jack Collison is edging closer to a West Ham United return.

The midfielder had knee surgery in May and wasn't expected back until February at the earliest.

But his rehabilitation has gone better than expected and he could make a shock return for the Hammers next month.

The Wales international could be back for the visit of Arsenal on January 15.
