Wales international Danny Collins is determined to fight for his place at Sunderland.

With Ian Harte breathing down his neck, left-back Collins told The Journal: "Ian's a good, experienced lad and I'm sure he has come here for games.

"But I've stayed in the team, I feel that I've done quite well and I'm hoping I can keep the shirt. As long as I continue to do well in the games, I'm sure that's what I'll do."
