James Collins says the West Ham United players are pleased with Sam Allardyce's new deal.

Collins reckons Big Sam is the right man to build on their progress up the Premier League table.

"It is great the manager has signed his new contract, we are flourishing as a team and I know he only wants us to get better and better," said Collins.

"Now everyone at West Ham can look to the future and work hard to take our club up to the next level.

''It has been a really good, solid season and we want to carry that on."
