Former Belgium international Pieter Collen is set to sign a new deal with the Brisbane Roar.
The 29-year old centre-back originally signed a short-term deal to replace departing Roar captain Craig Moore and despite the fact he is back in Holland where he is based, has agreed to come back to the club for at least next season.
"I had a positive meeting with Ange (Postecoglou) and I definitely want to come back - I had a good time here and there are good signs for the club," Collen said.
"I have to sort out a few things in Holland, but I'm very confident that I'll be at the Roar next season."
Collen had spent his entire career in Europe before coming to Brisbane and has played for a number of clubs including Gent, NEC Nijmegen, Feyenoord, NAC Breda and Beveren.
