Everton winger Seamus Coleman has paid tribute to departing captain Phil Neville.
Signed from Sligo Rovers in January 2009, the first player Coleman met at the Club's training HQ was Neville.
He recalled to evertonfc.com: "I remember walking into the canteen on my first day and he was the first person I saw. The first thing he said to me was 'you know where I am if you need me. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it'.
"He didn't say that lightheartedly. He truly meant that and he has been true to his word. He is a true captain and a great Everton captain.
"When I heard the news (he was leaving) I was obviously a little bit disappointed. He's been a great captain and he's been great for me since I came to the Club.
"He's always only a text or phone call away if you need him. It is disappointing but I'm sure he has a lot of football left in him and he will look forward to the next chapter in his life."
