Wales coach Chris Coleman has slammed Spanish media claims that he's responsible for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale's injury problems.
Reports say Bale has suffered with a slipped disc and the story from the Spanish capital is that the £86million man first had the problem when he was with the Wales squad last month.
Coleman snapped: "Gareth didn't have a problem with his back when he was with us. He missed the Olympics with something similar - and our friendly with Mexico.
"He kicked the ball on the training pitch in Macedonia and damaged his groin. He was feeling it on the day of the game. That's why he didn't play.
"He's not had any pre-season. I don't care who you are. You are playing catch-up. It's going to take some time to recover from that, it could be Christmas before Gareth is where he wants to be."
