Real Sociedad's former Fulham boss Chris Coleman has confirmed Javi Garrido is set to leave the Spanish club in a £1m deal - rising to £2m - and sign a four-year contract at Manchester City.
Coleman said: "Manchester City have shown a lot of interest in Javi. Although I don't want to sell him the financial situation we're in means we can't turn down the offer. Our primary objective is to get back to the top flight and although it will be hard without Javi, we cannot afford to reject the bid."
