Ashley Cole is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea according to manager Rafael Benitez.
The England left-back has been linked with a possible Stamford Bridge departure for the past few months but his boss suggests a fresh deal will soon be agreed upon.
"I am really pleased, the paperwork has to be done but the agreement is there," Benitez said after the Blues defeated Arsenal 2-1 today.
Cole's name had been mentioned in the same lines as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid but it appears as though he will remain in Southwest London where he arrived from Arsenal in 2006.
