According to the player's agent, Joe Cole's future will be decided within the next three weeks. Cole learned his seven-year Chelsea career was over after the Premier League champions announced he would be leaving Stamford Bridge when his contract expired.
Cole made two substitute appearances for England during their disastrous World Cup campaign.
Several sides are believed to be circling for the midfielder's services, with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham believed to be leading the chase.
But nothing will be sorted in the immediate days, according to Kevin Giesse, who will negotiate a deal on the 28-year-old's behalf.
"For now there is no news," Giesse told calciomercato.com.
"The boy has just returned from South Africa and now he will go on holiday. There are clubs interested in him, we are talking about a world-class player.
"I think by the end of the World Cup there will be developments and within two to three weeks there will be some news.
"Are AC Milan and Juventus interested? All negotiations are possible and that is not garbage.
"Several English clubs have asked for information, but at the moment nobody has moved concretely. After the World Cup we'll be going to reach conclusions."
