Cole lauds hardworking West Ham teammates

West Ham's goalscoring hero Carlton Cole has praised the hard work shown by his teammates to come from behind and manage a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

Cole netted the first of the Hammers' two second-half goals when the game looked over and helped produce a point from a match where everything went against them.

The in-form striker put the comeback down to his West Ham teammates who showed good fighting qualities as they toiled hard to get themselves back into the contest.

"It (the result) was pure graft," he told Sky Sports. "That's what happens when you work hard for each other.

"The team responded well at half-time and came out all guns firing. We've been in this position before, we dominated in the first 15 minutes and were disappointed to go a goal down.

"But we kept our heads, regrouped and managed to put in a performance like that. We deserved it."
