Cole admits Chelsea dressing room split over title aims

Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole admits the dressing room is split over ambitions to win the Premiership title and Champions League.

"I'd say it's about half and half," said Cole, 28. "Some players might want to win the Champions League but winning the Premier League again is my main aim.

"It would be nice to go to another Champions League final and hopefully win it one day but, for me, the Premier League is the best trophy.

"Maybe because I'm English and because I've won it twice. It's the best league to play in and that feeling you have when you win it and how the fans are, it's a great achievement for the club. It makes players proud.

"It's a tough old season in the Premier League and it's only getting harder. So to win that, you are true champions. Sometimes in the Champions League I don't think it's always the best team that wins it.

"It depends on how you play on a certain day. In the league you have to play well week-in, week-out. Manchester United were worthy champions and we just have to take it."
