Manchester City will re-lay the Etihad Stadium pitch, according to The Sun.
The paper reports that a recent Coldplay concert, attended by City manager Pep Guardiola, has prompted club officials to decide on the re-laying of the turf.
The Etihad also played host to AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen and the Stone Roses over the summer and will now get a makeover after all of it's hard work.
"The surface took a real hammering, also from trucks and rigging," a club source said.
"It did have protective floorboards on. The ground staff had been working around the clock.
"The recent good weather will only help matters as well."
The mix of real turf and artificial grass will reportedly cost City around £1million.
City are confident the playing surface will be in mint condition for their 2016/17 Premier League season opener against Sunderland at the venue on August 13.
