Colchester have snapped up Swansea City striker Casey Thomas on an emergency loan until 2 January.

Thomas, 20, has made just two appearances for Swansea since turning professional in 2009.

He said: "The manager wants me to gain some more experience. I can't wait to go there and hopefully play some first-team games."

He added: "I really don't mind where I play because in the modern game you have to be flexible and versatile."
