Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback is confident they'll recover from defeat at Manchester City.

Colback believes the squad is full of creativity although he admits that aspect of the side's play didn't come to the fore at the Etihad Stadium.

"I definitely think we have attacking threats and we didn't use them enough at City," he told

"We sat off them too much and maybe gave them too much respect. We didn't have a good go at them.

"But it's only our first defeat of the season and it's still been a positive start for us.

"We would have liked to have won a couple of the games we drew, but the team is looking good and we are looking forward to the derby."
