Stoke City chairman Peter Coates says they're determined to keep hold of Steven Nzonzi.

Nzonzi, who has 15 months left on his current deal, is likely to begin contract talks this summer with others in a similar position, such as Asmir Begovic and Jon Walters.

"We will do everything to ensure he stays at the club," the chairman told The Sentinel. "We are very keen to keep him and I think it's fair to say he is enjoying himself at the club.

"He is getting better and better in my opinion, and this season has been his best yet."
