Southampton fullback Nathaniel Clyne says there's renewed optimism at St Mary's over the way they've started the season.
Despite the exodus of talent from St Mary's this summer, Clyne has revealed morale remains high and that the arrival of new boss and former Holland defender Ronald Koeman - together with coach Sammy Lee - has helped his game to continue improving.
Clyne told the Mirror: "Already, the manager and Sammy Lee have given us a clear indication of the way that they want us to play - with the emphasis on attack and we have done well in pre-season.
"I know that they like their full-backs to push on and that suits me down to the ground.
"That's why there is a lot of confidence within the squad. Obviously it is going to take us a while to get used to each others' game but there are a lot of good players here and we are looking forward to building on our start to the new season."
