Nathaniel Clyne was delighted for Shane Long after his brace helped Southampton to victory over Leicester City.
Southampton secured their eighth win of the season yesterday defeating Leicester City 2-0 at St Mary's.
"They were great finishes," said Clyne. "Strikers are there to score goals and that's what he did.
"He started on the bench and waited for his chance, then when he came on he did well and he got the two goals which he deserved.
"Leicester came here, they had a good team shape and they did well so it was hard for us to break them down, but our quality showed in the second half, we got the two goals, and a deserved victory."
