Clubs queue for Newcastle striker Ranger

Newcastle United are ready to send striker Nile Ranger away on-loan.

The Sunday Sun says Ranger is available after their Carling Cup exit.

It means a one-month loan is back on the cards to help Ranger's development, something that will interest his host of second tier admirers.

Middlesbrough were interested when Gordon Strachan was still in charge and Gary Speed's Sheffield United are monitoring his availability. Crystal Palace have asked about him but Newcastle are reluctant to send him back to London.

Likewise Carlisle United have made an enquiry but are waiting to find out whether the striker would drop into League One.
