Club Brugge midfielder Jordy Clasie has no regrets over his decision to move to Southampton.
Clasie signed for Club Brugge on-loan for the season.
He told HLN: "It's the dream of any player to play in the Premier League and when (Ronald) Koeman called, I did not have to think for a long time.
"He knows me well as a man and player and gave me confidence. I'm still grateful to him. Without him I might not have ended in England, because I also spoke with Italian clubs, with Porto the year before."
Is Club Brugge a step back then?
"Certainly not. Of course, the Premier League is better than the Belgian league but I see this more as a step up. Because I have not played so much in the last six months, so I hope to collect as many matches as possible. Again to find the football pleasure."
