Nigel Clough's appointment at Sheffield United is being held up by a compo dispute with Derby County.

The Daily Star says the Blades, who fired David Weir on Friday after just 13 games in charge, want Clough installed in time for Saturday's League One clash at home to Port Vale.

But Clough is refusing to take on another job until he gets the £400,000 he believes he is owed by Derby, who sacked him 17 days ago.
