Derby County boss Nigel Clough is satisfied with the progress made this season but a play-off push for the Rams is too optimistic. The Rams have won four of their last six games and are 12th, five points off the top six.
But there are only seven games left and Clough told BBC Radio Derby:
"It will take the vast majority of them to have a bad run. But it's encouraging to be there or thereabouts."
Clough added: "Survival is our bottom line.
"To be very close to the play-offs, is progress from previous seasons. It's great to be sitting in mid-table safety. After the last few seasons it feels good." "We think there are too many teams above us.
