Chelsea have achieved a breakthrough in talks over sacked Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Sarri is set to take over from Antonio Conte as Chelsea manager and is poised to bring Blues legend Gianfranco Zola back to Stamford Bridge as his assistant.
The Italian is ready to take charge on a two-year contract with an option for a third.
As part of Sarri's appointment, Zola, who scored 69 goals for Chelsea between 1996 and 2003, is set to come back to the club.
Zola's last coaching position was in English football as he had a spell in charge of Birmingham during the 2016-17 season.
