Everton are running down the clock in their battle with Arsenal over the future of Marouane Fellaini.

The Daily Mail says Everton's prospects of hanging on to Arsenal target Fellaini have improved after it emerged his £24m escape clause expires on August 15, so they could reject any offers after that.

Fellaini has indicated he'd be happy to stay at Goodison under new gaffer Roberto Martinez.
