Tom Cleverley is hopeful of earning a recall to the England national team following his move to Everton.

Cleverley joined the Toffees from Manchester United on a free transfer earlier this summer and following his move to Goodison Park, the midfielder has now expressed his desire of making a successful return to England for whom he has made 13 appearances.

Cleverley said: "Looking at our squad, we have some good, young internationals.

"And that was another reason why I joined Everton because if I can get some good form here then I have got a shout of getting back into the England squad.

"There are a lot of positives in joining this squad and getting back in the England squad is definitely one of them."
