On-loan Watford winger Tom Cleverley says he is ready to play for the Manchester United first team. Cleverley has impressed this season at Vicarage Road and reckons he is ready to challenge Antonio Valencia and Nani for a starting berth at Old Trafford.
"Yeah, I think I'm ready for the Premier League," he said. "I've been watching the games and I don't think United have hit their best form.
"And I look at the people playing in my position and think, why not? I think I could step up.
"My best chance is on one of the wings. Straight into the team might be a bit ambitious but as a squad player I'd give energy, pace and hopefully some goals."
And after scoring in the 2-0 win against Preston, Cleverley added: "I'm sending out a message to Manchester United and with performances like that, Watford can send out a message to the rest of the league. We can get into the play-off mix if we keep performing like that."
