Clerc set to leave Lyon for West Ham

Former Lyon defender Francois Clerc is set to join West Ham United according to reports.

The 27-year olds contract with Lyon has expired and he is free to leave the club on a free transfer with the Hammers showing considerable interest.

It is believed that West Ham are very close to completing a deal for the right-back who has represented France on 13 occasions and appeared close to 150 times in Lyon’s first team in league matches.
