Swansea City boss Paul Clement says signing Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas is part of their buy British policy.
Clement has also added 19-year-old striker Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea this summer, and had six English players in the starting line-up which opened the season against Southampton two weeks ago.
"For me. It's always important to have a core of British players," said Clement, who has worked with Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
"In all the other clubs the core of the dressing has been from the club's country. You need to have that — it's important."
