Brazilian centre-half Cleber Antonio de Oliveira - or Clebao - will not be joining New York Red Bull.
The Red Bulls have chosen not to sign the 26-year old defender as they were unsure about paying too much for a relatively unknown player for just half a season.
Clebao had been training with the New York side but has now returned to Brazil to take up a contract with Sao Bento.
