Clayton leaves Man City for Leeds

Manchester City midfielder Adam Clayton has left the cashed-up club, joining Leeds United on a permanent deal.

The 21-year old initially joined the Whites for a one-month loan at the start of August but the contract has been reviewed and he is now a Leeds player.

Whites boss Simon Grayson reportedly pushed hard for a move late today and City allowed it to go through.

Clayton failed to make a first team appearance with City and found it increasingly difficult with all the big-name inclusions in recent times.
