Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has reserved high praise for teammate Scott Parker after he was named England captain.
The Spurs midfielder lead the Three Lions in their 3-2 friendly loss to Holland at Wembley last night and the fact that he was made captain and produced a solid showing in midfield did not go unnoticed by Dawson.
"He's a top-class player and a top-class person.
"Everyone knows how highly we all think of Scotty at Spurs and what a signing he's been for us, sitting in there in front of the back four.
"I watched a lot of games when I was out injured and saw from the sidelines exactly what he brings to the team.""He's been outstanding for us all season and thoroughly deserved to be recognised," Dawson told Tottenham's official website.
