Clarke set for crunch talks with new Chelsea boss Scolari

Chelsea assistant coach Steve Clarke is set for talks with new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari about his place in the Brazilian's plans.

The Daily Mail says Stamford Bridge chiefs are keen for the Scot to stay following his impressive work alongside Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant, but their new manager wants control over his backroom team and is keen to meet the former defender before making any decisions.

Clarke has also been considering leaving Chelsea in the hope of pursuing a managerial career and may decide now is the time to go.
