Clarke insists Dorrans still has West Brom future

West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke insists Graham Dorrans can still have a future at the Hawthorns.

The 26-year-old was expected to leave before Thursday's loan deadline. But it was decided that the midfielder would be better off remaining at Albion.

Clarke has informed the Scotland midfielder that his time will come.

"I had a brief chat with him yesterday morning," said Clarke to the Birmingham Mail. "I've had a number of chats with him over the last few weeks.

"He's frustrated that he's not playing and I understand his frustration.

"But the way he's worked and trained is a credit to himself.

"As long as he continues like that and continues working for us I still think he's got a chance to play in this team.

"At the moment it's not going for him here."
