Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark was proud of his charges after it took Premiership high-fliers Arsenal almost a full 90 minutes to break them down in the FA Cup fourth round.
The League One outfit lost 2-1 at Emirates after the Gunners took the lead in the 22nd minute through a deflected Nicklas Bendtner shot before leveling after the hour-mark thanks to a bullet Alan Lee header.
But Arsenal rallied and were awarded a penalty with just over five minutes left which was converted by skipper Cesc Fabregas.
Despite the loss, Terriers manager Clark was full of praise for his players for a tremendous effort against a top-class opponent.
"It was an excellent performance - we passed the ball well and created chances," he said.
"We limited Arsenal, which is not easy coming here, and the lads have worked extremely well so that in context we are disappointed we did not get anything more from the game.
"But we have now go to look at our league programme, which is all-important for us.
"Our goal will now be to go and get promoted and take this performance into the league."
