Nottingham Forest chairman Frank Clark says he'll have a big say on the hiring of the next manager.
York City boss Gary Mills became the latest linked with the position, although Steve Cotterill remains the overwhelming favourite to succeed the former England coach Steve McClaren.
Clark, who has returned for a stint as chairman after being both a player and manager at Forest, said: "The position, financially, will be spelled out to whoever comes in.
"They will know exactly what they have to work with before they are offered the job. If that is not acceptable, then we will have to move on."
Clark added: "I have a desire to help this club and a pride working for it. We have to find a manager as quickly as possible. I'm looking for someone who is very ambitious, enthusiastic and prepared to spend a lot of time on the training pitch."
