Burnley substitutes were reportedly spat at by Olympiacos fans during their controversial 3-1 Europa League defeat.

The Daily Mail says Burnley sources allege that Ben Mee, Adam Legzdins and first year professional Dwight McNeill were all spat at by Olympiacos supporters.

The trio were sat behind the Burnley bench before being moved to a hospitality area after suffering abuse by home fans.

A Burnley fan was stabbed in the leg before the match and required stitches, while four others were badly beaten and robbed.
